baby #3 is on the way! blogging seems to be my favorite thing to do when we are expecting. it gives me a sense that i'm not going to forget what was happening at the time and all the exciting little details we find out along the way.

one of my biggest fears is that i'll be old one day and not be able to remember the details of events that happen...so i write them down here for xanga and you...whoever you are...i have no idea if anyone still reads these things...leave me a comment if you do so this preggo can know she still has "readers" :)

I think i'm about 6 weeks along but we'll find out for sure at our first appointment on monday morning....bright and early! 8am! yikes! the receptionist told me to expect the appt to last 3 hours!!!

i'm hoping for a girl, sam is hoping for a boy. but of course in reality...we don't have too much preference. either way we will be glad because we already have all the clothes for either! :)

my brother is upset because i haven't posted in a very long time. he likes to read my stuff. :)

so today here i am posting so that my littlest brother who isn't very little anymore can be happy.

now...what to post about? here's what's been on my mind lately.

loving people IS loving God. this has been punching me in the eye lately and i really need to sit down and take a good hard look at scripture and solidify my thoughts on this. i've never considered myself a "people person" but the more I think about it....and the more i see how people are reconciled to God and the Church body through the kindness and love of others....the more i see that it's not really about being a people person...it's about being a God person. more on this later......

next is gift cards..i got a ton of different gift cards to a variety of places and it's always hard for me to spend things like gift cards on myself. i usually TRY to spend them on myself but can't find anything i like but i do find tons of things i like for my kids or sam..
.hmm....so this year i am determined to only buy things for myself. i think that last sentence is one of the most selfish i've ever written and i have a problem with that. ugh. however i desperately need new clothes and shoes. i MUST use that money for myself. right?

anyways....lastly is discipline. self-discipline to be exact. my sister and I are going to be starting on a journey into self-discipline beginning in April. I'm putting together a workbook for us and tasks to accomplish for each day of the month..with the exception of weekends. on those days we will choose our own tasks...otherwise it's not "self" discipline is it? i'm looking forward to it.
